All limits are set based on a calendar day, week and month, where available. A day runs from 00:00 until 23:59 CET, a week runs from Sunday 00:00 until Saturday 23:59 CET and a month runs from 1st of the month 00:00 until the last day of the month 23:59 CET. Once you have set a limit it cannot be overridden.
National Regulations and LUGAS
As a licensed operator in Germany, bet365 is required to connect to LUGAS (Länderübergreifendes Glücksspielaufsichtssystem). This national regulatory system was introduced to strengthen player protection across all licensed gambling providers. LUGAS consists of two central files that oversee two main areas of your account:
• Cross-Operator Deposit Limit: all customers are required to set a monthly deposit limit, which is used to manage the total amount you can deposit across all licensed providers.

• Simultaneous Activity: To prevent parallel play, LUGAS centrally records when you are active. This means that whilst you are actively playing on bet365, you cannot be active with another operator at the same time. You can find further information in the Reality Checks section below.
Deposit Limits
bet365 gives you the option to set deposit limits. These are independent of your monthly cross-provider limit and only apply to your bet365 account.
Deposit Limits allow you to manage the amount of money you can deposit into your account during any one calendar day, week or month.
You can decrease your Deposit Limits at any time and this will be applied immediately.
Before increasing your deposit limits, carefully consider whether you can afford it. Never decide to increase your limit because you have lost money and think you can get it back by playing more. If you want to increase a limit, you must wait 7 days before we implement the request.
Reality Checks
To help you manage the amount of time you spend playing at bet365, you will receive a pop-up every 60 minutes whilst you are active. You are considered to be active in the LUGAS database once you place or edit a bet. Your account will become inactive by logging out or having no activity for a minimum of 30 minutes.
You can also set up additional Reality Check alerts on your account to remind you that you have been logged into your account for the specified period of time.
Where you have an additional Reality Check alert set up, if you wish to receive the alerts more often, then any changes will be applied straight away. If you wish to receive the additional Reality Check alerts less often you will need to wait 24 hours before this is applied.
Loss Limits
Loss Limits enable you to restrict the total amount you can lose in any calendar day, week or month.
Loss Limits take into account your (Loss Limit - Amount of Loss Limit Spent) + Total Returns within the chosen time period.
For example, if you have a daily Loss Limit of €100 and place a €100 bet, you will not be able to spend any more that day unless you get a return. If you were then to receive a return of €50, even if the bet was placed on a previous day, then you would be able to spend that €50.
Once your Loss Limit is reached for a particular period, you will be unable to stake any further funds until the applicable time period resets (unless you receive a return). Increases to Loss Limits will take 7 days to action and will be applied automatically once this period has elapsed. Decreases will apply immediately.
Stake Limits
Stake Limits enable you to restrict the total amount you can stake in a calendar day, week or month.
Once your Stake Limit is reached for a particular period, you will be unable to place any more bets until the applicable time period resets.
